Hollace Dean Bennard, five months old, and Lilly Jane Bennard, two years old, died on Wednesday due to an unprovoked attack by the family dogs.

The tragic discovery was made on Wednesday in a home outside Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park in Shelby County, Tennessee.

In Shelby County, Tennessee, the dogs attacked the couple’s infants Hollace Dean Bennard and toddler Lilly Jane Bennard, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The two children Lilly, and Hollace, were the only children of the kids.

Although the contents of Lilly Jana Bennard’s obituary have not yet been made public, Harvey has stated that a candle vigil would shortly take place.

What Happened To The Family?

On Wednesday afternoon, the family’s dogs started savagely biting the youngsters, and Kirstie Jane Bennard of Millington tried to save them for more than ten minutes.

According to some sources, the dogs were pet-friendly; hence, the reason behind the attack and how the dogs went hostile is unknown.

Lilly Jane and Hollace Dean Bennard, two little children, were killed to death by their pet dogs at their home, and their mother is still in the hospital after attempting to save them.

Despite their best attempts, Lilly Jane and Hollace Dean Bennard both passed away from their wounds.

Kirstie Jane Bennard, the children’s mother, was attacked during the terrible episode and is currently in a critical state at the hospital.

According to her husband’s uncle Jeff Gibson, the mother-of-two has ‘uncountable stitches and bite marks over her entire body, including her face, and both of her arms and legs are bandaged/wrapped up fully.”

Colby Bennard, her husband of five years, may or may not have been present when the horrifying act occurred, but he was unhurt.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office informed the outlet on Thursday that the pit bulls had been confiscated by Animal Control, even though no information regarding what caused the tragedy has been made public.

The Daily Mail reported that Mr. Bennard had previously referred to the pets as the house lions after seeing him use that term on Instagram.

According to Gibson, Kirstie’s injuries won’t result in any ‘lasting damage, other than a heart that will never heal,’ according to the Mail.

According to a family acquaintance, the mother of two is hanging in there.

The county’s Animal Control took the dogs into custody, and they were later put to death.

According to the sheriff’s office, Emergency services were called to a home near Shelby Forest State Park in Tennessee on Wednesday after word spread that the family’s two pit bulls had assaulted a five-month-old boy and a two-year-old girl at around 3.30 p.m.

Tributes Were Paid On Social Media

Many people have offered their support and prayers for the family on social media.

Kirstie’s friend Caitlin Kilebrew updated her Facebook profile image with a photograph of the two of them together and added the remark, ‘My sweet friend – I adore you.’

On Facebook, another user remarked, ‘I cannot even imagine what they are going through. This is disastrous.’
